Free Country-Bluegrass Show With Navy Band Friday Night in Everett

The Navy is inviting folks in Everett and the surrounding area to a free country-bluegrass concert Friday night in downtown Everett.

Here’s what you need to know if you’d like to go…

The United States Navy Band Country Current, country-bluegrass ensemble is giving a free performance for the Everett community on Friday, Sept. 2 at the Everett Performing Arts Center.

The concert will start at 6:30 p.m. Tickets will be issued in person by the Everett Performing Arts Center at no cost. Seating is first come, first serve (unclaimed tickets are released 15 minutes before the show). To inquire about tickets, call (425) 257-8600.

The performance will feature modern and bluegrass music. The band employs traditional country instrumentation such as the banjo, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, mandolin, fiddle, electric bass, upright bass, dobro, pedal steel guitar, and drum.

The band was formed in 1973 and consists of seven musicians from diverse backgrounds who perform on national tour annually. Their community outreach to local audiences includes veterans, elementary schools, bluegrass festivals, and other events in support of active-duty Sailors.
