Last year there was a firefighter obstacle course for kids.

It’s a hands on event after the July 4th parade in downtown Everett.

Again this year Everett Police will hold their annual open house at the corner of Wetmore and Wall street.

Kids of all ages are invited to get up close to Everett Police officers and check out various police department jobs and equipment.

Youngsters will be able to get a prize if they complete their “passport” at all of the demonstration stations.

The entire 3000 block of Wetmore will be filled with police, sheriff and fire department vehicles and activities.

The event runs from 12 Noon until 4:00 PM and is free.

Here are some MyEverettNews.com photos from last year.
