Editor’s Update 5:15 PM: Assistant Everett Fire Marshal Steve Goforth tells MyEverettNews.com the fire was contained to one unit with an area of origin in a closet near a hot water heater. There was smoke,fire, and water damage to the unit. The family declined Red Cross assistance. The fire is being classified as accidental at this time.
Fast work by Everett Fire Crews limited the damage at the Park 120 Apartments on Casino Road this morning.The fire was reported in building 14 shortly after 8:00 AM. The first arriving engine reported thick smoke coming from a ground floor apartment.
Everett Firefighters were able to get a fast knock down and limit the fire to the one unit.
Investigators are on scene to determine the exact cause. There were no injuries. Here are some MyEverettNews.com photos from this morning. We’ll provide more information as it becomes available.
