You’ll need to RSVP to attend the Memorial Ceremony.

Naval Station Everett will host a Memorial Day ceremony on Thursday, May 26 at 7:50 a.m.

The ceremony will be held on base in the Jackson Plaza courtyard, beginning with the observance of morning colors. Military veterans from all branches are invited to attend with their families.

This event is not open to the public. However, the Navy welcomes the many veterans and family members in the community to participate.

The ceremony will be held in honor of Memorial Day and will also commemorate the Battle of Midway, America’s legendary naval victory in the Pacific that turned the tide of World War II.

The event will include remarks from veterans and sailors will present stories of fallen naval heroes. A ceremonial wreath will be placed in symbolic tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice and changed the course of war.

Interested veterans and their families are asked to RSVP sending an email to NSE.RSVP@NAVY.MIL by Wednesday, May 25.

Those who do not already have a military identification card will be asked to provide their full name, driver’s license state and number, and date of birth along with their RSVP.
