Everett Transit has launched a campaign to increase bus ridership, bicycling, carpooling and walking to work within the Everett city limits. Called Everett in Motion the goal is to get more people in Everett out of their cars. Here are some details…

Everett residents, employees and students can earn monthly rewards for smart local travel.

Everett Transit has launched Everett in Motion, a community-based trip-reduction program that encourages those who live, work or attend school in Everett and are at least 16 years old, to use alternate modes of transportation rather than driving alone. The program is an extension of the existing employer-centered commute-trip-reduction program.

Participants can earn monthly rewards for the first three months by logging their non-drive-alone trips online for at least eight days a month (alternatives to the online calendar can be provided). Those who continue to be eligible and log their trips qualify for additional monthly drawings.

Everett in Motion allows participants to count trips for any purpose – not just commuting – toward their goal. The program is designed to reduce traffic congestion and emissions, making Everett a cleaner, healthier place to live and work.
