PUD Outage Map Deemed A Success

The outage map recently launched by the Snohomish PUD has proven quite popular in its first major test.

During the windstorm on Sunday more than 70,000 people visited the map to see where power was out in Snohomish County. PUD spokesperson Neil Neroutsos tells MyEverettNews.com that the utility received a lot of positive feedback from people who could see that the PUD was aware of outages in their neighborhoods.

The PUD says the map will be activated whenever the utility experiences a major power outage or weather event.
