This annual fundraiser benefits Dawson Place Child Advocacy Center in downtown Everett.
Haven’t heard of Dawson Place? Well here’s their mission statement:
“Dawson Place seeks to restore health and obtain justice for child victims of sexual assault and physical abuse. We achieve our vision through a multidisciplinary network of services that are housed at Dawson Place. We are committed to the prevention of assault and abuse through education and intervention.”
What does all that really mean? Watch this short video…
The keynote speaker is Todd McNeal, founder of Hand in Hand Kids. Hand in Hand Kids provides critical care and support for children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect, drug raids, abandonment and other dangerous circumstances and are entering foster care.
Hand in Hand Kids two core programs, Safe Place and Selah Homes, work in tandem to positively impact the immediate and long term safety and well being of foster children by addressing gaps in how children are received and cared for in the local foster system.
Dawson Place works in tandem with Hand in Hand Kids and this event is a great way to see positive impact happening right here in Everett and Snohomish County.
Again, the luncheon is free and each table seats 10 and you do need to make a reservation.
It happens Thursday November 5th at 11:30am at Xfinity Arena in downtown Everett, WA.
If you or your company would like to be a sponsor that opportunity still exists.
To reserve a spot at lunch or learn more about sponsorship please Email Dawson Place or call 425-789-3000. Again the deadline to RSVP is this Friday.
