Downtown Everett Parking Forum Tuesday

If you park in downtown Everett you may want to be at Everett Station Tuesday at 5:30pm.

On Tuesday afternoon the City of Everett will hold a public forum to reveal the results of a parking survey conducted earlier this month regarding parking in downtown Everett.

In addition, people who attend the forum will be able to provide feedback on various plans including the possibility of bringing back parking meters.

The meeting will be held in the Weyerhaeuser Room at Everett Station, 3201 Smith street from 5:30 until 7:00PM. The city says the meeting will be an interactive experience and will include additional information gathering including…

  • Use state-of-art, electronic polling technology to contribute your views on important parking issues – before decisions are made.
  • What parking management strategies will improve the parking situation?
  • Where should customers, visitors and downtown employees park?
  • Does downtown Everett need paid on-street parking?

This is all part of an ongoing update to the city’s parking plan that’s been talked about for the past year. The city may even hire a downtown parking manager to implement the plans that come out as a result of the survey. If you live, work or visit downtown Everett often, you may want to attend this Tuesday starting at 5:30PM.
