Ramp From Eastbound 526 To Southbound I-5 Closed Tonight in Everett

Editor’s Update 1:00pm: The DOT has changed this work and it will now happen Friday night at 10PM until 12Noon Saturday.

It was closed last weekend but crews need to finish some work so be warned that tonight (Thursday June 25) the ramp from the Boeing Freeway to Southbound I-5 will be closed and you’ll have to take a mini-detour at Broadway. Here’s the official DOT scoop.

Drivers who use the eastbound State Route 526 ramp to southbound Interstate 5 in Everett should plan for a complete closure of the ramp starting at 9 p.m. Thursday, June 25, until 5 a.m. Friday, June 26. Drivers will follow a signed detour.

Contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation need the closure to finish applying high friction surface treatment to the Everett ramp. The treatment is part of a pilot project designed to increase traction and reduce wet weather related collisions. This work is weather dependent.
