The outside is boarded up with No Tresspassing signs, the inside was full of junk and there was fire coming from the backside and roof as Everett Firefighters arrived in the 3100 block of Tulalip Avenue. Shortly before 10:00pm Monday evening, multiple callers reported the house fire to 9-1-1. Everett Firefighters were able to get a quick knockdown and contain the fire to one room and the attic of the two story house with full basement. There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Also of note, a driver who apparently lives in the neighborhood received a criminal citation after nearly hitting two firefighters as he drove into the fire scene where they were working. A good reminder that when you see the fire trucks, flashing lights and hoses…stop. Take a minute and look to see if its safe to get through and know that the fire trucks may be a block or two away from the fire hooking up to the nearest hydrant. While you may live on the other side of the fire scene you’re not entitled to drive right through it to get home. Not only are you endangering firefighters but its a really expensive ticket.
