1st SE Fire 1

Heavy smoke was coming from the building as Everett Fire crews arrived.

No injuries but a stubborn fire in a building behind a house in the 10200 block of 1st Drive SE kept Everett firefighters busy Saturday night. Here’s what we know so far from Everett Fire Marshal Rick Robinson.

At about 10:22 p.m. on March 7th, 2015, Everett firefighters were dispatched to the 10200 block of 1st Drive SE for a report of a structure fire. Firefighters arrived and saw flames and smoke coming from the back of a shop/out building structure. There was no one in the building at the time. Crews attacked the fire first from outside, and then made entry and had the main body of fire knocked down with several hot spots remaining. The cause will be investigated. Damage to the structure was extensive. Some crews will remain for a while to extinguish hot spots.

An Everett Fire investigator is on the scene but it may be some time before the cause is determined or a damage estimate is released. Here are some photos taken at the scene by MyEverettNews.com.
