Haggen To Open In Everett Wednesday

Haggen Everett

The Haggen sign is up and the store will open Wednesday afternoon at 75th and Evergreen Way.

The former Safeway store at 75th and Evergreen Way is closed right now undergoing its transition to Haggen. Crews are busy changing the interior of the store and the new signs went up this afternoon. While the Safeway is closed the pharmacy inside is open if you need a prescription. The opening is tentatively set for 4:00pm on Wednesday. Instead of a big grand opening party at the store, Haggen has set up a unique community meeting. Here are the details as provided by Haggen’s PR firm.

Haggen meeting

If you’d like to sell your products inside Haggen or partner with them, you should attend this meeting.

To get to know its new Everett neighbors better, Haggen is inviting community members who are interested in partnering with the brand to meet with company leaders. At this informal, public meeting, local farmers and producers can discuss selling their wares on Haggen’s shelves, non-profit organizations can learn about Haggen’s community giving, and small businesses can explore co-marketing programs. “We hope community members will join us for a fun evening to learn about how we can work together to strengthen our community,” said John Clougher, Haggen CEO, Pacific NW.

· Who: Local Farmers, Food Producers, Non-profit Leaders, Community Members
· When: 5:00 – 6:00 pm, Thursday, March 12, 2015
· Where: Zahn Event Center at the Manor 13032 Admiralty Way

Haggen plans to partner with five local non-profits, donating $1,000 to a single organization on the first day the store opens and 2% of sales to four additional organizations on four consecutive Saturdays. Initially, Haggen will make the $1000 donation to Cocoon House. The other non-profits will be selected after the community meeting.
