Driver Suspected of Impairment After Hitting Unmarked WSP Sedan in South Everett

It was quite a scene on Evergreen Way Tuesday afternoon.

Two Washington State Patrol troopers are okay after their unmarked car was hit from behind by an SUV Tuesday afternoon. The crash occurred about 2:00pm in front of Hyundai of Everett on Evergreen Way. The trooper and a cadet in the unmarked sedan were checked out by aid crews but not transported to the hospital. The causing driver was not hurt but MyEverettNews.com did get photos of him being given field sobriety tests and then being handcuffed and put into the back of an investigating trooper’s vehicle. It was quite a show for early afternoon commuters as nearly a dozen State Patrol cars responded to the crash. Traffic was able to get by the crash as only the right lane was blocked.
