“I live in Everett and there is nothing like this in Everett,” said Mike Novak. He should know. He owns three NYP Bar and Grill locations. One in Bellingham, one in Lynden and one in Seattle. The fourth comes to Everett this spring. They’re taking over the former Olive Garden location across the street from the Everett Mall. (Olive Garden recently opened a stand alone restaurant in the parking lot at Everett Mall) MyEverettNews.com asked Novak about opening a bar and grill directly between Red Robin and Bob’s Burgers and Brew. “We’re not similar to either,” said Novak. “Red Robin is more corporate and we’re local with local sourcing and fresh local ingredients.” He went on to say that they make their pizza dough in-house, get all natural meat from Puyallup, will offer lots of local brews from the likes of Scuttlebutt and Lazy Boy Brewing. They feature two happy hours, one from 2 – 6 and the other 9 – closing. NYP Bar and Grill will employ 30 – 40 people and should be open sometime in April.
