How Everett Engages Without A Chamber of Commerce

Back in 2011, the Everett Chamber of Commerce dissolved and merged with the South Snohomish Chamber and Economic Development Council of Snohomish County morphing into Economic Alliance Snohomish County. Economic Alliance Snohomish County took over the basic functions that a chamber would normally do but on a more regional level. One thing many business owners in Everett said they missed was the ability to get together and talk about things specific to the city of Everett. That need may be filled by a new networking event known as Engage Everett. Here’s a note MyEverettNews.com received yesterday announcing the new venture…

“My name is Steven Graham and I am the Downtown Services Manager at the Downtown Everett Association, a position I had the pleasure of taking on last July. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and invite you and your colleagues to Everett’s new monthly networking event, Engage Everett.

This free event will be taking place the second Wednesday of every month and will be rotating to different locations around Everett. This is going to be a fun opportunity to get folks from different areas of our community in a room together spreading the news about what we all have in the works for 2015. Our first event will be this Wednesday, Jan. 14th at the Downtown Everett Hampton Inn, so invite your friends and come have a great time with us!”

The meeting will run from 4:30pm – 6:30pm and you can find more information about who is sponsoring the event from the attached poster.
