USS Nimitz

The Nimitz arrived at Naval Station Everett this morning at 8:00am

The USS Nimitz arrived at Naval Station Everett this morning after conducting a multi-national training exercise off the California coast and then serving as the platform for the Navy’s new F-35C Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter in both day and nighttime evaluation operations. That testing wrapped up early and the ship docked this morning at 8:00am. The crew will be home for the Holidays and then shortly after the first of the year, the USS Nimitz will be going to the Naval Shipyard in Bremerton for 16 months. Also in January the USS Ingraham will be leaving for dis-assembly and that may make for a fairly quiet 2015 at Naval Station Everett.
