Scenes From Emergency Drill at Everett’s Paine Field
The drill began with a simulated fire
Every year the FAA requires Paine Field to hold a review of the airport’s emergency plan and at least once every 3 years hold a full-scale airport emergency plan exercise. This morning 50 students from the Kamiak High School drama department portrayed crash victims in a simulated accident. The premise was an aircraft landed short of the runway and veered onto a taxi way splitting the fuselage and catching fire. The drill involved more than two dozen fire, police, medical, emergency management and support agencies. Here are a few pictures from the drill. Click to enlarge.
