An Everett PD and Washington State Patrol explosives technician prepare equipment
Just before 9:00pm Tuesday night an Everett Park Ranger advised of a suspicious device on a walking path west of Silver Lake Park. Everett Patrol officers came out and confirmed the device appeared suspicious. The inter-agency bomb squad was called out and an Everett bomb technician and a tech from the Washington State Patrol examined the item and then did what Everett Police Spokesman Aaron Snell termed a “remote detonation” to make the device safe. Snell didn’t have further details on the type of device or how it came to be on the walking path west of the park.
