Assistant Everett Fire Marshal Eric Hicks says a north Everett woman suffered smoke inhalation after fire broke out inside her trailer in north Everett Friday morning. Here’s the official EFD press release…

At about 10:08 a.m. on Sept. 5, 2014, Everett firefighters were dispatched to the 1100 block of Pine St. for a report of a trailer on fire.

Firefighters arrived and encountered flames coming from the window and roof of the trailer. Crews were able to control the fire within 5 minutes.

An adult female was inside the trailer at the time of the fire and heard a loud boom and then saw smoke inside the trailer. She left the trailer looking for a fire extinguisher and when she returned the trailer was completely filled with smoke. She tried to fight the fire with an extinguisher and suffered smoke inhalation. The resident was transported by Everett Medics to the hospital.

The trailer was a total loss and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
