Everett Transportation Benefit District Won’t Consider $20 Car Tabs at Initial Meeting

July 28, 2014

Everett, Everett Government

An update to our original report that the Everett Transportation Benefit District was going to consider $20 vehicle tabs at its initial meeting Wednesday. Here’s the email sent to us from Meghan Pembroke at the City of Everett this morning…

I wanted to clarify the Transportation Benefit District process for the next two weeks, because we had some conflicting information online earlier. This week, the council (acting as the TBD board) will consider adopting the by-laws and charter for the TBD. They will not consider adopting the $20 car-tab fee until the Aug. 6 meeting.
An earlier draft of the agenda had all three actions happening this week, but we’ve since corrected that on the TBD webpage.
