Some major streets in Everett are set for re-paving.

Got this reminder from Marla Carter at Everett Public Works regarding the annual re-paving season coming up in Everett at the end of next week. Your regular commute route may need some adjustment so consider yourself warned…

Street resurfacing is scheduled for several locations in Everett beginning Thursday, July 31, and continuing through September. Crews will grind down and remove old pavement, install new traffic signal detection wires, repaving and restriping of roadways.

Drivers can expect lane closures and traffic delays on the following streets:

· 100th Street SW from Evergreen Way to west of Airport Road

· Evergreen Way from Pecks Drive to 52nd Street SE

· 33rd Street from Broadway to Smith Avenue

· Beverly Lane from 75th Street to Madison and Sunset Lane to 50th Street SW

· Federal Avenue from Charles Avenue to 35th Street

· 35th Street from Federal Avenue to Grand Avenue

· Grand Avenue from 35th Street to 34th Street

· Silver Lake Road from 118th Place SE to south of 112th Street SE

Construction on 100th Street SW, Evergreen Way and 33rd Street will involve both day and night work. No night work is planned for the remaining streets, but schedules could change depending on weather and other factors.

Signs will be posted advising motorists of detours, street closures and parking restrictions. The city’s contractor, CEMEX, is responsible for notifying affected homes and businesses prior to construction.
