Dry Conditions Leave Fire Danger High in Everett, WA
Firefighters from Engine 6 quickly got control of this grass fire behind the Wal-Mart in south Everett.
Everett firefighters have been dealing with various bark, tree and grass fires over the last few days. In spite of a few showers, ground conditions are very dry and that coupled with fireworks still being discharged and cigarettes tossed out car windows has kept Everett firefighters busy. Given the forecast for a drier than normal summer Everett property owners are being urged to keep a defensible space around your home and be aware of the fire danger.
