Everett’s Forest Park to Get Major Clean Up by Comcast Call Center Crews

Hundreds of Comcast employees in Everett will be working at Forest Park and the Cascade Boys and Girls Club this Saturday.

Hundreds of Comcast employees from the call centers in Everett and Lynnwood will be cleaning up Forest Park in central Everett this Saturday. Its part of Comcast Cares Day. Here are the details…

On Saturday, April 26, more than 550 local Comcast employees and their families, friends and community partners will “make change happen” as they volunteer to improve Forest Park in Everett and the Cascade Boys & Girls Club as part of Comcast’s 13th Comcast Cares Day.

The Comcast call centers in Everett and Lynnwood have adopted Forest Park for their project. Forest Park is a 197-acre wooded area that is Everett’s oldest and largest park. It is home to the Swim Center, playground (including a water playground), picnic shelter, wooded trails and Animal Farm. Comcast’s projects will include forest planting, light pruning, weeding, trail work, garden bed clean-up, revitalization and beautification of this historic park.

Comcast Cares Day, which takes place each April during National Volunteer Month, is Comcast and NBCUniversal’s signature day of service and the nation’s largest single-day corporate volunteer effort

“We’re proud to partner with the City of Everett and the Boys & Girls Clubs to improve our community during our 13th Comcast Cares Day,” said Len Rozek, senior vice president of the Comcast Washington Region “The hard work of the many hundreds volunteers who will be donating their time to help make such a big difference in the lives of others is inspiring.”

Meanwhile, Comcast’s Everett field office has adopted the Cascade Club of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County. More than 200 volunteers will help improve the Everett club with new paint, cleaned carpets, fresh landscaping and numerous other projects.
