Everett golf

You’ll pay more to putt in Everett starting March 1st.

The City of Everett’s parks department will be giving a presentation to the Everett City Council Wednesday on an increase in rates to play golf at the city’s 2 courses. Everett owns Legion Memorial in north Everett and Walter Hall in south Everett. The city contracts with a management firm to operate the two courses under the supervision of the parks department. If the proposal is approved, rates on March 1st will rise two dollars for 18 holes at Walter Hall and one dollar at Legion Park. Senior rates at Walter Hall will go up one dollar and stay the same at Legion. An annual pass with rise by one hundred dollars at Walter Hall and 50 dollars at Legion. Only 8 people attended the three public hearings about the rate increase that the parks department held back in November and December. If you’d like a chance to get your voice heard on the issue, you can comment at the Everett City Council meeting this Wednesday night at 6:30pm.
