Everett Police booked the suspect for 1st degree assault and five drug possession charges.

A 36-year-old man is being held in the Snohomish County Jail on a quarter million dollars bond following a shooting at the apartments located in the 3200 block of 18th street in north Everett. The victim, a 51-year-old man from Everett was taken to Harborview Hospital where he had multiple gunshot wounds. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening. Everett Police Spokesman Aaron Snell tells MyEverettNews.com police were called just before 9:00pm Saturday night by multiple reports of a shooting. Arriving officers found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Everett medics transported him to Harborview while officers canvassed the neighborhood and located the suspect. He’s been booked into the Snohomish County jail on suspicion of 1st degree assault and 5 counts of drug possession. He’s expected to make his first court appearance on Monday. This is the same apartment complex where a man used a machete to reportedly defend himself from an attack 10 days ago. Snell says at this point he has no indication the two crimes are in any way related. Everett police have recovered a weapon and say no other suspects are being sought.
