112th street at 7th Avenue SE was shut down for hours after a collision between an SUV and a Toyota seriously injured a 14-year-old girl. Everett Police Spokesman Aaron Snell tells MyEverettNews.com that a girl was walking on the sidewalk west of the intersection of 7th and 112th. It is believed that a Chevy Suburban was turning left from eastbound 112th St SE onto 7th Ave SE when there was a collision with a westbound Toyota Camry. The Camry continued but veered onto the sidewalk where the girl was walking. The Camry travelled forward and struck both the girl on the sidewalk and a business before coming to rest upside down.

The driver of the Suburban was a 16 year-old Lynnwood male while the driver of the Camry was a 48 year-old Everett woman. The woman has been taken to Providence Medical Center for a medical evaluation. The 14-year-old girl was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. No word yet on how seriously she may be injured.
