The Everett Animal Shelter will offer the cute, the cuddly and the mysterious at Sunday’s Secret Life of Cats. The annual adoption event brings together local rescue agencies and community groups, as well as fun extras like a feline-fortune teller.

“We’ll have something for everyone this Sunday, including lots of adorable cats and kittens for adoption,” said Dee Cordell, shelter operations coordinator. “This is a great chance to check out the shelter and learn about all the services we provide – and maybe go home with a new furry family member!”

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29. More than 100 cats and kittens from the Everett Animal Shelter, Purrfect Pals, Homeward Pet, NOAH and PAWS will be available for adoption.

“This year we’ve had help from several local groups to really make this a fun event,” said Cordell. “We’ll even have a tarot card reader on hand if you want to find out what’s really going on in your cat’s mind.”

At Sunday’s event:

· Bev Bryant will offer tarot card readings for cats and people (cats need not be present).

· The Animal Rescue Foundation of Everett will host a garage sale benefitting the shelter’s veterinary clinic.

· The Naval State Everett Junior Enlisted Association will sell lunch items.

The Everett Animal Shelter provides temporary homes for more than 7,000 lost or abandoned animals every year. The shelter includes a veterinary clinic that provides spaying and neutering services for shelter animals and treatment for injured or ill pets at the shelter.
