It’s just become more affordable for Everett kids to play hockey

Everett Youth Hockey and the Everett Silvertips are proud to announce a new opportunity encouraging all local kids to give hockey a try with the brand new EYH Beginner Hockey Program for the 2013-14 season.  Beginner Hockey gives local families an affordable way to introduce kids to playing hockey while reducing the significant financial commitment the game often requires.

For a season-long registration fee of just $99, first-time players will be able to participate in practices and games totaling nearly 30 hours of ice time between October and March – with games being played on the main Comcast Arena ice!  To make it even easier for your child to try hockey for the first time, Beginner Hockey participants can rent all the equipment they need for the entire season for as little as $50.

“As we continue to grow Everett Youth Hockey, it’s important that we make it easy for all local kids to try the game for the first time,” said EYH General Manager Jerry Weir.  “Jr. Silvertips Beginner Hockey gives kids from all age groups the chance to learn the basics over a full season of hockey, playing where the Silvertips play on the big ice at Comcast Arena, while keeping the cost low and affordable.  We’re very excited about this opportunity to make hockey accessible to more young people in this community.”

The Beginner Hockey program requires no previous playing experience, with much of the teaching emphasis gearing toward skating and basic puck skills.  As an added bonus, Silvertips players will even provide guest coaching appearances to assist instructors.  Entry in the program also includes a ticket to two Silvertips home games during the 2013-14 season and a commemorative Silvertips Ryan Murray mesh jersey.

Registration for the new EYH Beginner Hockey Program is open now.  For more information or to sign your child up, CLICK HERE to view the registration form.  Visit the EYH website (www.eteamz.com/jrsilvertips) to find out more about all EYH programs.
