The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office today identified 54 year-old Jay R. Griffin from Everett as the man who died in a rafting accident on the Stillaguamish River on Sunday. Griffin and a female were rafting when they got into trouble. Several people saw the couple in peril and called 9-1-1. Both were pulled from the river but Griffin could not be revived. The Medical Examiner has listed the cause of death as drowning and the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
