Editor’s Note: The Nimitz Deployment has been re-scheduled for Saturday (3/30) at 9:00am

NimitzJust got an update from Kristin Ching at Naval Station Everett who says the Nimitz is expected to depart Naval Station Everett sometime between 3p and 5p this afternoon. (Like all things in life that schedule is subject to change) Here’s a shot of the last sunrise the ship will see over Everett for a while. Click photo to enlarge.

Let me make sure I understand this.

The world is too dangerous for me to be trusted to take more than 3 oz. of yogurt or water on to an airplane, but it’s okay to publicly announce — to the hour — when a major warship will be leaving port.

    How does this make sense?
