Fatal Car-Pedestrian Accident on Airport Road in South Everett – 4:30pm Update – Victim ID

4:30pm Update: The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim as 51 year old David Carl Murray. No city was given for Mr. Murray and the death has been ruled an accident. The case remains under investigation by Snohomish County Sheriff’s Depuites.

8:30AM Here’s the latest update from the Sheriff’s Office:

It has been confirmed that the pedestrian victim is a male. Identification, as well as cause and manner of death, will be determined by the Medical Examiner’s Office.

The driver of the truck which struck the pedestrian is a male from Mukilteo. Investigators believe the truck was traveling eastbound on Airport Rd. and struck the pedestrian as he attempted to cross Airport Rd. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

The road is expected to be reopened by 9:30 AM.

Not a lot of details but a pedestrian was killed around 6am near the area of Airport Road and Admiralty Way south of the Everett City limits, just east of Home Depot. Traffic heading to or from Boeing should take 112th instead of 128th. Here’s the release from SCSO…

Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office deputies are at the scene of an accident involving a vehicle and pedestrian between Highway 99 and Admiralty Way on Airport Way in South Everett. The pedestrian was deceased when units arrived on-scene. The accident occurred at approximately 6 AM and the road is currently closed.
