An Everett Police Sgt. swabs the hands of a robbery suspect.

Quick work by Everett Police Saturday afternoon led to the capture of three people suspected of robbing and assaulting a man on a trail just south of the Everett Mall. Police received a call around noon of a robbery and assault. Three suspects were reportedly involved and fled north toward the mall. While one officer worked on the suspects descriptions, other officers quickly contained the area and a K-9 was able to track 3 suspects to the Everett Mall. Officers saw the 3 people matching the suspects descriptions come out of the Mall and detained them. The victim made an identification and the three were transported to the downtown police station to be interviewed by detectives. Patrol officers had their hands busy so no word yet on what was taken or the seriousness of the victim’s injuries. I was able to take a few pictures of an Everett Police Sgt. doing some in-the-field CSI stuff like swabbing the hands of one of the suspects.
