You must be a resident of the City of Everett or live outside the state of WA to obtain a Concealed Pistol License (CPL) from the Everett Police Department.
Applications may be picked up during normal business hours, however, are only processed when fingerprinting is available. You do need to be fingerprinted in order to obtain a permit. Fingerprinting is offered at the downtown Everett Police records room at 3002 Wetmore Ave. Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. The cost is $15 per card. No appointment is necessary. It’s on a first-come, first-served basis.
The cost of an initial CPL is $52.50. The permit is valid for five years.
You may renew a CPL up to 90 days before its expiration or up to 90 days after the expiration (with a $10.00 late fee). If you are unable to renew your CPL within these time limits, you will need to start over with an initial CPL application. The cost of renewing a CPL is $32.00.
If you lose your CPL, you may obtain a replacement for $10.00. EPD can only issue a replacement for a CPL originally obtained through Everett Police Department.
Editors Note: A special thank you to the Everett Police records unit for assembling the license issuance information. It is not something the city has routinely tracked and MyEverettNews.com appreciates the time and effort put in by those fulfilling our request.
