Annual Star Wars Themed Food Drive in Everett Saturday

Star Wars themed food drive

There will be lots of opportunities for unusual Christmas card photos Saturday during the food drive

Got word that Bobakhan Toy Store in Everett will again hold a Star Wars Themed Food Drive from Noon – 4pm on Saturday to benefit Volunteers of America Food Banks. It’s one of the most unusual food drives in Everett with lots of participants dressed up in Star Wars themed outfits. Here’s the official word from the folks at Bobakhan Toys…

With the Vaders’ 501st Garrison Titan. The Washington Mandalorian Mercs and Rebel Legion have also been issued a welcome to join. This will be benefiting the V.O.A. (Volunteers of America Food Bank – Everett, WA chapter), in which representatives will be in attendance to thank anyone who brings food or money to go to that charity, which helps not only kids, but entire families.

This is our yearly Star Wars Christmas event with wonderful costumed cosplayers here dedicating their time to this charity driven
event. We ask that each person attending bring a couple of cans of food for the food bank to thank the volunteers for coming out to entertain us all for this great cause!

Darth Vader WILL be here this year! (Thank you, Marc!) Got confirmation that Boba Fett will also be joining us! (Thank you, James!)

We will, as always, be doing sales on that day and we will be donating a few higher priced (valued at $50 or more) raffle prizes to add to the charity.

Currently the can is at the store for anyone who cannot join us on that day, but wishes to make a donation to the V.O.A. as well. 🙂

There is plenty of parking on side streets both in front and across the street of our store, as well as back behind Day Wireless for the event. Parking directly behind the store will be reserved for the volunteers who will be here in costume
