Just got word from the Everett Silvertips that about 200 tickets remain for their annual “Pink The Rink” game against the Seattle Thunderbirds this Saturday night. Here’s everything you need to know about the event…

EVERETT – After raising over $130,000 for the local fight against breast cancer over the past three seasons, the Everett Silvertips are proud to once again partner with Providence Regional Medical Center and Safeway for our fourth annual “Pink the Rink” Saturday against the Seattle Thunderbirds.  This year’s goal is to not only top the $84,000 raised by last year’s event, but to exceed $100,000 in new donations!

Pink the Rink is a cooperative effort between the Silvertips, the Providence Regional Cancer Partnership, the Providence Comprehensive Breast Center and the Safeway Foundation to raise funds that provide free breast cancer screenings for local women without insurance or the means to pay.  By aiding with early detection, the donations raised will help Providence fight breast cancer and ultimately save lives in Snohomish County and the surrounding areas.

As in years past, we’re offering a number of different ways to get involved and contribute to the cause.  When you CLICK HERE to purchase special “Pink the Rink” tickets, $5 from every ticket sold will go back to the Providence General Foundation.  Tickets are already going fast for what is sure to be one of the year’s biggest crowds, so make sure to get yours before they’re gone!

We’re also auctioning off specialty jerseys that the Silvertips will wear during both home games this weekend:  Friday vs. Spokane and Saturday vs. Seattle.  Closed bidding for these unique, pink-highlighted and autographed jerseys are already being accepted online, so CLICK HERE to submit your bid in advance.  Bidding on the jerseys will also continue in the arena through the second period of the game against Seattle, along with auctions for a specially painted pink goalie mask and stick.

Silvertips Captain Ryan Murray will wear two different Pink the Rink jerseys that will be auctioned separately.  In addition to his jersey for the Saturday game vs. Seattle that will be auctioned with the rest, a separate, online-only auction will be held at FutureStarJerseys.com for his jersey from the Friday game vs. Spokane.  That auction, as well as another for a team-signed Pink the Rink jersey will end at midnight on October 26.  CLICK HERE to place a bid!
We’ll have a number of other pink specialty items for sale on Saturday vs. Seattle as well, including 100 limited-edition pink game pucks, pink cow bells and t-shirts.  100% of the proceeds from these sale items will be included in our donation fund.  The first 5,000 fans in attendance will also receive a light up pink glow stick courtesy of the Safeway Foundation and Providence Regional Medical Center.
