Organizers say since the first competition back in 1988 at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Snohomish, the purpose of the Festival has been to showcase the musical talents of students in our high school programs throughout the Pacific Northwest and to gain community awareness and support for the music programs in our schools. The event goes on rain or shine and provides a nice boost to Everett’s economy. Last year’s event was won by Kamiak High School out of Mukilteo.
