Brush Fire Slows Traffic Along I-5 in Everett

Another brush fire this afternoon along Northbound I-5 between Everett Avenue and East Marine View Drive. It took Everett Firefighters about half an hour to get it completely out. The fire was reported shortly after 12:30 and slowed traffic for out an hour. Firefighters say that the light rain we’ve had recently has done little to lower the fire danger and are asking people to be very careful. There was another grass fire in this same area five days ago.
