The Washington State Patrol is reporting that a pedestrian was hit and killed on I-5 near Dagmar’s Landing early Sunday morning. According to a press memo from WSP, shortly after 1:00am, a 1963 Chevrolet Impala had run out of gas and pulled to the right shoulder on southbound I-5. An occpuant of the car apparently got out and was in the lane of travel when he was struck by a Toyota Corolla driven by a 64-year-old Snohomish man. After hitting the man in the freeway the Corolla then struck the Impala and both cars were totalled. The driver of the Toyota was taken to an Everett hospital. A second person in the Impala apparently fled the crash scene on foot. The person who was hit died at Harborview Hospital in Seattle and was identified by WSP as Mark A. Wolf, age 41 of Seattle. WSP is continuing to investigate the accident.
