Construction Underway on new Everett Farmer’s Market and Mixed-Use Development by Former Tibetan Monk

In addition to a Farmer’s Market there will also be apartments, restaurants and a hotel.

Currently there’s a really big hole in the ground at Wall and W. Marine View Drive west of downtown.

Work has finally begun on an indoor farmer’s market and mixed use development on Grand Avenue between Wall and Hewitt. Named Pagoda Village, it’s being developed by a company called Path America formerly known as Dargey Enterprises. It’s headed by Lobsang Dargey, a former Tibetan monk who has been developing projects in Everett including the Everett Public Market building, the historic Federal Building on Colby and most recently, Potola Village, a mixed use building at the corner of Pacific and Rucker with restaurants and retail space below 108 apartments that overlook Port Gardner Bay.

Here’s a description of the project taken from the Path America’s websiteThe Pagoda Village in Everett, an indoor venue with 60,000 square feet, will be an exciting and vibrant center that connects local agricultural businesses to the community and attracts both residents and visitors. In addition to the year-round market, the project will include 170 luxury apartments and a 110-unit Homewood Suites by Hilton hotel, both with spectacular views of the Puget Sound. The development will also have 15,000 square feet of commercial office space.
