It’s a yearly tradition as the curves of Mukilteo Boulevard between 41st Street and Olympic become flooded with colors from tens of thousands of flowers planted by the City of Everett and volunteers. Your chance to become part of this annual event happens this Saturday. Here’s more information from Everett’s parks department…

EVERETT – Turn the curves of Mukilteo Boulevard into a trail of flowers on Saturday, June 2 from 9-11 a.m. Volunteers of all ages are welcome to help plant 40,000 colorful flowers in 15,000 square feet of flower beds near Forest Park. Each year individuals and families respond to the Parks Department’s call to create a visible reminder of our community’s vibrancy.  Join the effort – and the fun – as the tradition continues this year. Plant as little or as much you want. Just dress for the weather and be ready to get a little dirty. The City will provide safety vests, tools and commemorative buttons. Add this year’s button to your collection! Catch our free event shuttle at the View Ridge Plaza parking lot. It’s located west of Forest Park at the three-way intersection of Mukilteo and Olympic boulevards and Dogwood Drive. For more information, call Everett Parks and Recreation at 425-257-8300 ext. 2.
