Career Fair and Open House Wednesday from 10am - 1pm

At least 17 aerospace and Manufacturing companies are expected to participate in a combined job fair and open house Wednesday morning at the Washington Aerospace Training and Research Center at Paine Field in Everett. Shelia Dersham is the associate director at the center. “This is a chance for us to introduce ourselves to both businesses and the general public,” said Dersham. “Boeing is not the only big aerospace employer in our area and we want businesses who supply and manufacture aircraft products to be aware of the high quality of potential employees they can find right here.” Dersham says they have a 75% employment placement record and employment in aerospace is very much in a boom phase. She’s encouraging job seekers to bring a resume and positive attitude.”Everyone has transferable skills that they have acquired throughout their lifetime,” said Dersham. “There are all types of positions including customer service, inventory management and office skills that are needed by aerospace companies in our area. One of the major criteria is to be able to show up every day, ready to work.” You can click here to register online and get directions to the event. Aerospace suppliers and manufacturers can find out more by contacting Sheila Dersham at (425) 347-8928 extension 2223. Again the career fair and open house are this Wednesday from 10am – 1pm at 3008 100th street SW 98012 at Paine Field in Everett.
