Snohomish PUD solar express program is growing. Click to find out more

The Snohomish PUD will host another Solar Express energy information program next Monday afternoon from 12:00pm – 1:00pm at their Everett headquarters. Here’s a bit of information direct from the PUD’s Solar Express web page…

Did you know you don’t need a lot of sunshine for solar panels to produce power? In fact, Germany is the leading country in the world for solar power production, and few people think of Germany as being particularly sunny! The weather there is actually pretty similar to our area – making solar power a great renewable source right here at home as well.

Solar energy is a largely untapped source of renewable energy in Western Washington. With a photovoltaic system, a PUD customer can generate clean, green, renewable energy. Installing photovoltaic and solar hot water systems are ways that PUD customers can:

•Lead the way in using local renewable energy in Snohomish County
•Act on their environmental beliefs and reduce their environmental impact
•Help the PUD meet the energy needs of the next generation

The next Solar Information Sessions are scheduled for:
•Monday, May 7, 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., at the PUD Headquarters in Everett (2320 California Street, Everett, view map)
•Tuesday, May 8, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the PUD office in Edmonds (21018 Highway 99, Edmonds, view map)
