Beer to Flow Thru The Streets of Downtown Everett in 1st Ever Everett Craft Beer Festival

Beer, Arts, Music, Food to be celebrated in Everett's new arts district August 18th

The Washington Beer Commission today announced Everett as the site of its newest craft beer tasting event. The Everett Craft Beer Festival will take place Saturday, August 18, 2012, between noon and 8pm in downtown Everett. At least twenty-four Washington state breweries are expected to be on hand pouring more than 60 unique craft beer creations. There will also be live music and food available at the event which will take place on Hoyt Ave. between Pacific Ave. and Hewitt Ave. in the recently refurbished arts district in downtown Everett. The Washington Beer Commission says they hope the Everett Craft Beer Festival emulates the successful Bremerton Summer Beer Fest which had 3,900 attendees at its inaugural July 2011 event in downtown Bremerton. Tasting festivals are the primary source of income for the Washington Beer Commission with all proceeds going toward the promotion of Washington beer. Kendall Jones who writes the Washington Beer Blog first broke the story a couple of weeks ago and has a great explanation of what the Washington Beer Commission is all about and how it works.
