Everett Fire

No injuries but the house had about $45,000.00 in damage and an indoor marijuana garden.

Some residents of a house in the 4600 block of Broadway in central Everett have some explaining to do after firefighters found a marijuana growing operation while putting out a bedroom fire in their home. Everett Fire Marshal Rick Robinson tells My Everett News that crews were called to a bedroom fire at the home at 2:30am. As they arrived heavy smoke was surrounding the house. Firefighters made quick work of the bedroom fire and discovered an indoor marijuana garden in another room. Robinson says three people escaped the blaze and there were no injuries. Damage was estimated at $45,000.00. Everett Police will now take over the investigation and determine if it was a legal garden for medical marijuana patients or something on the other side of the law.
