Burned items are still on the front lawn after last night's fire

The call that brought officers to the area of 32nd and Rucker last night began as a fire in an abandoned house at 3212 Rucker. According to Eric Hicks of the Everett Fire Department, they received a call of a fire at about 10 minutes before 11:00pm. Fire crews found a couch on fire in the living room of the house and quickly put it out. Hicks says the cause of the fire is suspicious. An Everett Police Officer and his K-9 began tracking for who may have been involved in that fire which led to that officer and his dog being attacked by a K-9 which was shot by multiple officers from the Everett Police Department.
