Two Separate Boaters Stranded on Everett’s Jetty Island
Everett Police and Firefighters tow in the second of 2 boats stranded on Jetty Island Wednesday evening.
Everett Police and Firefighters had to rescue two separate boats off Jetty Island Wednesday evening. Shortly before 6pm a distress call was received from two boaters who were stuck on the rocks at the south end of Jetty Island on the Everett waterfront. It seems both boats had developed engine trouble and the people in them suffered minor bumps and bruises trying to keep the boats from smashing apart on the rocks. Everett Police launched their marine patrol boat and officers and firefighters were able to tow both boats off the rocks one at a time and take them to the 10th street boat launch. No major injuries to anyone aboard but both boats had severe damage from the rocks.
