The drive down Broadway is far less than inspiring, so you can imagine my disbelief the first time I saw the bears at Brown Bear Car Wash. I love fine art and sculpture and now find myself purposely driving down Broadway just to see Lorenzo Ghiglieri’s work. Perhaps you didn’t know that in the 40′s, Everett had a nice little zoo and at the entrance to Forest Park were live bears. I am certain folks of my age group get a nice feeling of reminiscience seeing Lorenzo’s bears.

I have enjoyed Everett’s rebirth from a Mill Town to an upcoming city with vision and purpose. While it’s wonderful to support our local artists, let’s not forget the ledgendary artists such as Lorenzo whose sculptures grace cities throughout the world, not to mention the US War Memorial, Pershing Park’s Bex Eagle, The Smithsonian, governments and dignitaries around the world, and so much more. He is local (Oregon) and with little research you will easily see the grandeur of his sculptures and paintings. View his website THE ART OF LORENZO GHIGLIERI. Although the artworks on the streets around town are youthful, modern for the most part, and breathe fresh air into the city, many folks love animals. Let’s bring a piece or two of ledgendary western works of Lorenzo into Everett. I can see a round-a-bout in the middle of Hewit and Colby with a Lorenzo rearing horse and fowl play amidst green grass, shrubs, and/or flowers.
By the way, photos were not shown of the baby bears – so sweet.
